OCTA holds a national convention every August somewhere on or near the Trail. The CA-NV Chapter hosted conventions in 1986 (Carson City, NV), 1991 (Sacramento, CA), 1996 (Elko, NV), 1999 (Chico, CA), and 2002 (Reno, NV).
